Hi, I'm Jiajing — though most people call me Jane.

I'm a Senior Data Engineer with over 7 years of experience building data platforms, machine learning infrastructure, and cloud-native solutions. I've had the privilege of working with great teams at Palo Alto Networks and Telstra (Belong), where I've designed and delivered everything from large-scale ETL pipelines and data lakes to real-time streaming systems and ML platform automation — primarily on AWS and GCP.

My background is a little unconventional. I hold a Master's in Computing (Visual Information Processing) from Imperial College London and a Master's in Interaction Design from the University of Queensland. That mix of technical depth and design thinking shapes how I approach problems — I care not just about whether a system works, but whether it communicates clearly and serves people well.

This portfolio is a window into the design side of my journey — a collection of work from my time at UQ that explored data visualisation, interaction design, and the storytelling potential of well-crafted visuals. I believe data has a kind of quiet beauty, and design is what makes it speak.

Outside of work, you'll find me travelling, drawing, swimming, or on a badminton court.
